About Harborcreek, PA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Harborcreek Township is located in Erie County, PA, and as of 2010 it was home to over 17,200 residents. This township is large geographically, consisting of about 34 square miles of total area, and it is part of the Erie Metro Statistical Area. Harborcreek is located about eight miles from Erie with neighboring Wesleyville sitting between the two communities. It is also conveniently located near three major cities – Cleveland is 110 miles away, Pittsburgh is 135 miles south, and Buffalo is about 85 miles northeast.

Harborcreek is home to a few notable attractions that might appeal to visitors or area residents. The township maintains a variety of parks and outdoor places, including Whitford Park, Six Mile Creek Park, Slade Road Park, and Shades Beach, providing for recreational opportunities throughout the year. Downing Golf Course and Harbor Ridge Golf Course are popular destinations for visitors looking to play a round, and racing enthusiasts might like to make a trip to nearby Lake Erie Speedway. Shopping is also a possibility in this township, with specialty shops in the area including Eaglen’s Harborcreek Hardware and Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts.

Harborcreek will experience a full range of different weather events throughout the year, including high heat, significant snowfall accumulation, and severe weather with ice, thunderstorms, tornadoes, or hail. Some of this severe weather will occur during the winter months, as this township’s Snow Belt location makes it prone to receiving significant accumulation. When combined with freezing temperatures, travel around the community can be hazardous, so residents are often stuck indoors and relying on their home furnace system to stay comfortable.

Thunderstorms are a real possibility during the summer, and conditions can be warm to hot with high humidity. While the presence of the lake does keep temperatures down to an extent, there are many days per season in which thermostat readings exceed 90 degrees. A central air conditioning unit is crucial to stay comfortable during these hottest of days.
